05 Jan 2010 --- Apple Rush Co., Inc. is pleased to announce that the Company presents a new look to schools nationwide. The Company believes it is the first to provide schools with a 100% organic sparkling juice line. The local franchise of the Company Apple Rush Maui, LLC will start its program in California where it will bid to supply schools with its new 8.4oz Apple Rush cans that will be offered in many different flavors. Apple Rush will still offer its organic juice line in their traditional 12oz cans/bottles but believes this smaller size is ideal for schools. The Company will also offer more flavors for its 8.4oz can product line including blueberry in the near future.
Apple Rush offers a healthy and refreshing drink with no refined sugars to school systems, many of which have banned sugar sweetened drinks. Public concern over the presence of soft-drink-vending machines and low-nutrition foods on school campuses has been featured in Joper news and High Beam Research for the last couple of years, and most recently in the August 2009 article "Los Angeles bans sale of soft drinks in schools." Along with fears that soft drinks contribute to an alarming rate of childhood obesity, a growing number of school districts have restricted student access to soft drinks and other junk-food items during school hours, thereby substantially reducing the amount of revenue that the schools generate through soda sales and vending contracts.
"We are excited to be offering our product to the school systems nationwide in a new 8.4oz Apple Rush can. We are seeing a steady increase of school systems offering their students healthy alternatives for drinks and foods on school campuses. We can supply school systems with our healthy 100% organic sparkling juices that taste good, and appeal to parents, the schools and their students," stated Robert Corr, President of Apple Rush Co., Inc.
