Ajinomoto Announces New Amino Acid Pricing Structure
The majority of Ajinomoto customers have already been notified of pricing structure changes by their sales representative.
Nov 4 2011 --- Ajinomoto Company, Inc. announced a new pricing structure for its pharmaceutical and food-grade bulk amino acids. Due to global increases in raw materials and energy costs, an increase of 10-15% is currently in effect.
Ajinomoto sets the industry standard with its patented fermentation technology to manufacture the highest quality and most pure amino acids of non-animal origin on the market. However, raw materials used in amino acid production and soaring global energy costs have contributed to end-product price increases.
“As a global leader in pharmaceutical and food-grade amino acid production, we are committed to providing the highest quality products at the best value for our customers,” said Hiroshi Fukushi, Executive Corporate Officer and General Manager of Amino Acids Department, Ajinomoto Co., Inc. “We will continuously explore opportunities in which we can keep production costs as low as possible while still maintaining the same level of superior quality and purity for which our company is renowned.”
This new pricing structure affects bulk amino acids sold worldwide by Ajinomoto and Ajinomoto subsidiaries. The majority of Ajinomoto customers have already been notified of pricing structure changes by their sales representative.
