21st Century Spirits Announces Acquisition of U.S. Importing and Marketing Rights to Gabriel Boudier
The official "Denomination de Provenance" status guarantees the naturalness and origin of the liqueur and excludes the use of any artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.
06/12/06 21st Century Spirits LLC, a Los Angeles based importer and producer of wine and spirits, announces its acquisition of the U.S. rights to import and market the Gabriel Boudier line of award-winning liqueurs and eaux-de-vies. 21st Century Spirits will begin its national campaign first with Creme de Cassis de Dijon and "Josie" Framboise, followed by distribution and promotion of an additional 10 to 12 items in the Gabriel Boudier line in January 2007. French-based Pernod Ricard previously held the distribution and marketing rights to Gabriel Boudier in the U.S.
"We are thrilled to begin promotion and distribution of Gabriel Boudier within the U.S.," said Kevin Egan, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for 21st Century Spirits. "Gabriel Boudier produces some of the best liquors in the world and we are confident that our sales, distribution and marketing teams will be able to effectively create strong ownership of the premium liqueur category and increase sales in the U.S."
To produce its line of premium liquors, Gabriel Boudier exclusively uses fresh fruit and a premium spirit base. After harvest, the fruit is fast frozen and preserved to prevent any risk of oxidation. The fruit is taken from deep freeze and macerated to ensure freshness. Superfine neutral beet sugar alcohol is added over a time span of five to six weeks after which the residual infusion is carefully separated from the skins and the final steps of blending and quality control are perfected.
Gabriel Boudier's award-winning Creme de Cassis de Dijon is universally acclaimed for its quality, flavor, natural color and richness and is available in over 70 countries. The official "Denomination de Provenance" status guarantees the naturalness and origin of the liqueur and excludes the use of any artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. Boudier Creme de Cassis de Dijon is produced exclusively from two French varieties of ripe black currants, which are known as "noble varieties."
