    Sustainability across the chain: How the food industry can step up to the challenge

    Sustainability nonprofit organization Ceres has just released an in-depth analysis that takes a closer look at key sustainability performance trends in nearly every sector of the US economy, including the food and beverage sector. The research shows that all but two of the 21 companies assessed have set quantifiable time-bound goals to manage the impacts of their water use – yet less than half of these evaluated companies prioritize water goals within the regions of the world facing the most severe water risks. FoodIngredientsFirst spoke to Kristen Lang, Director, Company Network and Mary Ann DiMascio, Senior Manager, Company Network of Ceres about the results of the study.
