Worlée Launches Sustainable Exotic Fruits
06 Jan 2015 --- Going through the cereal or fruit snack department at the supermarket these days can be a truly amazing experience. Exotic fruits like papayas, litchis, mangos or dragon fruit can be used to create culinary highlights that don’t just taste and look extraordinarily good, but also include an impressively high vitamin and mineral content.
Unfortunately, the environment must often pay a price for this exotic diversity. Many farmers in origin countries must produce under poor conditions in order to keep their prices competitive.
Worlée is working to counteract this trend. By means of its organic division, the north German family company brings numerous dried fruits from tropical regions to the raw materials market – products which are sustainably produced and increasingly designated with the Fairtrade label. Worlée will present a colorful cross section of its organic portfolio at BIOFACH in Nuremberg from 11 to 14 February.
Along with exotic fruit specialties from around the entire world, visitors can likewise look forward to encountering our spices, teas, herbs, and assorted vegetable varieties. More than 450 products are part of the Worlée product range, making the company one of Germany’s leading providers of dried organic edible raw materials.
