24 Mar 2014 --- Burn Stewart’s flagship single malt whisky brand, Bunnahabhain, triumphed at the 2014 World Whiskies Awards this week, scooping an incredible three accolades.
Judged by a group of industry experts, the awards recognise excellence in whisky throughout the world.
Bunnahabhain received recognition in the following expression and award categories:

- Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old - ‘Best Islay Single Malt 12 years and under’
- Bunnahabhain 18 Year Old - ‘Best Islay Single Malt 13 to 20 years’
Impressed by the palate of each dram, the judges praised the depth, balance and complexity of taste that Bunnahabhain achieves.
Michelle Lansdowne, Global Marketing Manager at Burn Stewart, said, “We’re thrilled to see three key expressions recognised at such prestigious awards. This is just the latest in a series of awards for Bunnahabhain, demonstrating the success of the brand at home and internationally. We believe the brand is going from strength to strength and are excited about the future developments for 2014."
“Bunnahabhain’s inspiration comes from Islay’s history and culture, and that’s what we have tried to instil in the flavour. It’s crucial to the identity of each whisky and it’s a pleasure to see everyone’s efforts at the brand being recognised.”
The multi-award winning Bunnahabhain is exported to over 30 countries globally. Unlike its neighbouring distilleries on the island, Bunnahabhain is one of the few non-peated Islay malts.
