Wild Prepare to go Public

28/09/07 During the next two years Dr. Hans Peter Wild intends to restructure WILD and its European companies to prepare them for the capital market. By doing this he will establish a solid base for the continual long term and successful development of the company's global activities.
"My main concern is to secure the future of the company, which my parents founded in 1931 and that I have further developed into a successful international enterprise" explains Dr. Hans-Peter Wild regarding his recent decision to take the company public. He wants to create a structure which will enable the enterprise's future development to continue independent from his current ownership position.
According to Dr. Wild, the enterprise has an excellent market position. "We operate in a good business environment; the company has a solid base, excellent employees and creates value for its customers". Now the objective is to ensure future growth with clear focus and an efficient structure.
Furthermore, on a long term perspective, WILD has to be able, to accommodate its growth in the financial market.
Following an intensive evaluation of the different alternatives, Dr. Wild has decided that the future of WILD is in the public arena. The aim for the coming two years is to prepare the enterprise accordingly. This means, for example, the introduction of the Oracle software throughout Europe and also the introduction of the IFRS Accounting Standards.
"We will actively change and shape the enterprise ourselves while using the experience of McKinsey to assist in the process. Our decision is a clear sign to our employees that we will work together for solid growth". Dr. Wild emphasizes that the success factors of the past, in particular customer orientation and innovation will remain the main focus of activity for WILD in the future.
