Triple Benefits From Purac At IPPE/AMI

With food safety still top of the agenda for the meat and poultry industry, the company will showcase an expanded range of ingredients developed to enable processors reduce their spend while providing highly effective protection against pathogens. Purac will also showcase its ability to reduce sodium up to 30% using label-friendly ingredients.
11 Dec 2012 --- Purac’s Opti.Form product line has been expanded and now comprises seven powerful blends of organic acids which can cut the cost of inhibitor use by up to 75% while maximizing safety levels in mainstream meat and poultry applications. Opti.Form products are highly effective in inhibiting the growth of Listeria monocytogenes. This enhanced product line includes blends, powder blends, and single ingredients and also contains propionates, whose final approval by the USDA is expected at any time. Opti.Form ingredients to be highlighted at the show are Opti.Form Ace P13 - lactate/diacetate (no label changes needed) and Opti.Form Ace P40 - acetate/lactate (no regulatory limits of concern).
