TIC Gums Introduced itself and its TicaPAN 311 Coating System for binding sugar and sugar alcohol syrups in confection coating and panning at the “ProSweets Cologne 2012” event at the Cologne Exhibition Centre, Hall 10.1, located in Cologne, Germany.
Jan 30 2012 --- TIC Gums will introduce both itself and its TicaPAN 311 Coating System for binding sugar and sugar alcohol syrups in confection coating and panning at the “ProSweets Cologne 2012” event at the Cologne Exhibition Centre, Hall 10.1, located in Cologne, Germany. TIC Gums exhibit at the show is in booth number E059. Show hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. January 29, 2012 through February 1, 2012. This is the first time TIC Gums has exhibited in Europe in its 103 year history.
TIC Gums’ business is expanding around the world. TicaPAN 311 is a large part of the company’s global growth strategy, especially into the European market. Leaders at TIC Gums believe that now is the time and ProSweets is the place to introduce the company and this new technology. “With the proximity of our new manufacturing capability (in the U.K.) to this event, all the right elements were in place for us to introduce our company and our unique technology to the confection industry, here at ProSweets,” said Gregory C. (Greg) Andon, president of TIC Gums. “We are very happy to be here in Cologne to introduce ourselves, our company, and the value we bring to the confection industry.”
Initially designed to replace gum arabic in confection applications, TicaPAN 311 has comparable crystallization, binding, and drying properties when compared to traditional coating systems. At the same time, TicaPAN 311 imparts a whiter yet similar strength to the shell coating during the panning process and ensures a smooth finished appearance.
TicaPAN 311costs approximately 20% less when compared to gum arabic at usage levels between 2%-4% of the engrossing syrup.
