2 Mar 2010 --- Belcolade has extended its exclusive Collection range with three new and highly distinct origin chocolates: Congo 58, Grenada 67 and Grenada 44.
Belcolade's Collection range includes dark, milk and white chocolates with specific and unique flavours and varied bouquets. Every origin chocolate is made using carefully selected cocoa beans, which reflect the differences of the regions where they are grown. The natural richness and flavour of the chocolate is determined by botanical, geological and climatic conditions, combined with local practices.
Belcolade is dedicated to the careful exploration and selection of the finest cocoas from around the world. The characteristic flavour of these cocoas guarantee the best balanced recipe in each chocolate of the Collection Origin range.
The dark chocolate Congo 58 has a particular mokka flavour note, balanced with fruity raisin and the sweetness of honey. It provides a blend of new and traditional characteristics to add a special touch in any application.
The complex dark chocolate, Grenada 67, has a well-rounded taste combining a hint of grapefruit with a gentle touch of licorice and the warmth of roasted coffee beans.
Grenada 44 is a striking milk chocolate with an outspoken toffee flavour, slightly roasted with a milky note. Its subtle hint of fresh walnut brings on an exquisite taste experience.
To distinguish these and other chocolates that stand out in taste, Belcolade has developed its own scientific methodology to identify and describe the flavour profile of the chocolate. This "Cyrano Approach" is based on sensory analysis of the flavour components present in chocolate and enables to select the most distinct varieties. In this way, only chocolate with an incomparable and exceptional taste is chosen for the Belcolade exclusive Collection.
The Belcolade Collection range also includes chocolates from Costa Rica, Ecuador, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Venezuela, Vanuata, Uganda and the Dominican Republic. The range includes exquisite Origin chocolate with organic varieties and products, which have been made using cocoa sourced from a Rainforest Alliance Certified farms, or have Fairtrade approval.
