Symrise strengthens UK position

11/03/05 Symrise has furthered consolidated its position as the third-largest provider of innovative flavours through the acquisition of British flavour manufacturer Flavours Direct. With the acquisition of the company which had sales of 10 million euros in 2004, Symrise is strengthening its position in Great Britain and Ireland. The company will be one of the foremost suppliers of savory flavours in Great Britain, the largest market for snacks and savoury convenience foods in Euope. Currently growing at a rate of over four percent, these products are also experiencing growth rates in the regions of Europe/Africa/Middle East (EAME), Asia Pacific and South America.
