Smirnoff launches Smirnoff Lime
A smooth, aromatic new addition to the number one-selling line of flavored vodka.
30/01/06 Outside no more! Smirnoff® Vodka takes everyone's favorite garnish and brings it to the center of attention with the release of Smirnoff Lime, a smooth, aromatic new addition to the number one-selling line of flavored vodka.
Smirnoff Lime flavored vodka is highly mixable and extremely versatile. It pairs well with a simple mixer like cola or tonic water, yet also is a delicious complement to more complex cocktails like the Smirnoff Lime-Island Iced Tea or the Smirnoff Tall Lime Cosmo (recipes below).
The new Lime is made using the same triple distillation and proprietary filtration process that has made Smirnoff the world's number-one premium vodka brand (based on sales by volume. Source: Impact, July 15, 2003). In fact, Smirnoff surpassed 21 super-premium vodkas in The New York Times ("Dining Out" section) blind tasting of January 26, 2005. They cited it as, " ... clean and ultra-smooth, with pleasing texture and classic vodka aroma."
Smirnoff Lime joins the Smirnoff flavor portfolio, which also includes the ripe, juicy Watermelon; the sweet, juicy Strawberry, the tart and refreshing Cranberry, and Raspberry, with its raspberry and blackberry flavors; the smooth Vanilla; balanced, light Citrus, delicious Orange, the crisp Green Apple and rich Black Cherry. All are available in 50-ml, 200-ml, 375-ml, 750- ml, 1L and 1.75L sizes (Citrus and Cranberry are not available in 200-ml and 375-ml sizes). The 750-ml bottle is expected to sell for $12.99.
