30/12/06 Sidel’s 24/7 technical assistance has been in operation for several years in the United States and Asia where it has proven to be both efficient and competitive. Recently, that service was expanded to include Europe, Africa and the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States). It gives customers access to Sidel’s technical expertise, during non-business hours, so that they can ensure maximum availability of their production tool. With a just a phone number, customers can quickly get in touch with a technician who diagnosis the problem, indicates corrective measures to take depending on the geographic zone, and organizes shipment of spare parts when necessary.
To secure top expertise for the job, the hotline service gets support from four platforms based in Atlanta (Georgia, U.S.), Octeville (France), Parma (Italy) and Shanghai (People’s Republic of China). When on-site service is required, a technician is dispatched to the customer the following morning. To ensure traceability and tracking of all operations that take place, Sidel’s technical assistance service drafts an incident report after each call mentioning the source of the problem, solutions proposed and any spare parts shipped.
