Scharffen Berger introduces new products

12/10/05 The United States, Scharffen Berger Chocolate Maker has introduced two new products: the Gianduja, a rich and dark chocolate bar with tones of roasted hazelnut, and El Carmen, an exceptional chocolate with red fruit flavors and a smooth, clean finish. Both 3 oz. (85 g) bars are currently available in a broad range of outlets, including Scharffen Berger retail stores, specialty retailers, natural food stores and gourmet centers across the country.

The Gianduja will be available at retailers stocking Scharffen Berger products and at Scharffen Berger's retail outlets and online store. El Carmen is a Limited Series offering available only at Scharffen Berger retail outlets and select merchants.

Scharffen Berger's version of this Italian favorite blends dark cacao flavor with rich tones of roasted hazelnut. The Gianduja combines dark chocolate, pure cane sugar and hazelnut paste to create a rich and creamy bar without the addition of dairy ingredients.

El Carmen is an exceptional chocolate made with beans from a small area in Venezuela's Barlovento Valley. These extremely high-quality beans result in a chocolate with prominent red fruit flavor notes, a soft acidity and a smooth, clean finish.
