23/10/08 DSM’s Fabuless ingredient is making application headway with a significant new product launch coming in the French UHT sector and the snacks market also anticipating a launch through innovative healthy snacks developer Nutradia. FoodIngredientsFirst.com has learned at SIAL in Paris that Nutradia Control will be launched in Belgium in January 2009. Significantly, Nutradia has also partnered with a major snacks manufacturer in the Benelux, who are planning to launch a snack with the ingredient in the first quarter of 2009.

Silhouette Active, from well-known dairy producer Candia, uses Fabuless technology to help consumers feel fuller for longer and control calories. Silhouette Active has just been launched in French supermarkets and is promoted as the world’s first UHT milk drink to contain Fabuless, the ingredient that offers a convenient and clinically proven route to successful weight management.
This leads to better control over calories longer term. The new product is available in 200ml cartons with a choice of “natural” and “chocolate” taste and can be consumed chilled, hot or at ambient temperature.
