"Winning Most Sustainable Retailer also demonstrates that doing good, is good for business. Our customers trust Sainsbury's to do the right thing and we're proud of how our values set us apart."
The "Drinks Retailer of the Year" Award recognizes multiple retailers for customer engagement with the category. This is measured through the use of in-store displays and signage, levels of innovation, and sales of premium products within the drinks category. "Drinks Retailer of the Year" was one of five* awards picked up by Sainsbury's including "Supermarket of the Year", which they have won five times over the last seven years.
Andy Phelps, BWS Category Manager at Sainsbury's, commented that the Drinks Retailer of the Year award "is a great testimony to the quality of our beers, wines and spirits, which we deliver at every price point.
