Parmalat Appoints Yvon Guerin as New CEO
The Board of Directors has positively agreed to this proposal and has unanimously voted the appointment of Yvon Guérin as Chief Executive Officer of the Company.
7/13/2011 --- Parmalat communicates that the Board of Directors has appointed Mr Yvon Guérin as Member of the Board of Directors of the company pursuant to article 2386 of the Italian Civil Code in replacement of the resigned Mr Olivier Savary.
Yvon Guérin, at the present General Manager of Lactalis Lait Crèmerie & Nutrition Division, managing the production and distribution of manufactured milk of Lactalis Groupe, one of the largest companies in Europe with a turnover of 3.3 billion euros, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Parmalat S.p.A.
The Nomination and Compensation Committee appointed by the Board of Directors of Parmalat SpA on July 1st, 2011, composed by the members: Mr Daniel Jouen, as Chairman, Mr Antonio Sala and Mr Gaetano Mele (independent), has proposed to the Board of Directors the appointment of Mr Yvon Guérin as Chief Executive Officer thanks to his great experience in the management of production and distribution activities of manufactured milk and thanks to his ability of integrate different and complementary companies’ structures.
The Board of Directors has positively agreed to this proposal and has unanimously voted the appointment of Yvon Guérin as Chief Executive Officer of the Company.
Born in Fougéres (France) in May 17, 1965, Yvon Guérin is 46 years old, he is engineer in Agriculture, with a Master to the School of Management “ESSEC” of Paris.
From 1990 to 1999, Guérin joined Lactalis Groupe and he has been in charge for Management Control.
From 1999 to 2002 he has been appointed General Manager and Vice President of Lactalis American Groupe, working in Buffalo.
From 2003 to 2007 he has been General Manager of Tendriade, a division of Lactalis Groupe, specialized on food and veal meat.
In 2008 he has taken the responsibility of Lactalis Beurres & Crèmes, and the supervision of a Lactalis Division called Lactalis Ingrédients (more than 800 million euros of turnover) , as General Manager, maintaining at the same time, the supervision of Tendriade.
In 2010, he followed the acquisition and the integration in Lactalis Groupe of the Spanish company Puleva and he contributed at the creation, always as General Manager, of Lactalis Division called Lait Crémerie & Nutrition (turnover of 3.3 billion euros).
Yvon Guérin is also Member of the Executive Committee and Strategic Committee of Lactalis Groupe. The appointment of Mr Guérin as Chief Executive Officer of Parmalat SpA has immediate effect and his arrival in Parma is expected in the next days.
