Ordnance Brewing Signs With General Distributors, Adds Willamette Valley Taproom
Boardman, OR – Working fast to fill growing demand for their core beers, Ordnance Brewing has signed a distribution agreement with General Distributors and begun converting their sibling company taproom, Neighbor Dudes in Wilsonville, to Ordnance Brewing Taproom.
After months of exploring distribution suitors in Oregon, the Ordnance team signed with General Distributors Inc. “We set out to align with a distributor who could understand our vision, goals and long term objectives. We honestly knew that GDI was the team for us after many lengthy discussions, tastings, emails and a great deal of laughter. Everything felt right; it was like we’d been working together a long time. After that it was just a matter of doing our due diligence which always pointed us back to General. We are excited to join the GDI team and the outstanding family of breweries they represent,” noted Dewey Weddington, Ordnance Brewing Director of Marketing and Sales.
The Ordnance team are not the only ones happy with the decision. “We are excited to begin our partnership officially with Ordnance. Aligning with a brewery that shares our values on quality brands, smart growth, and great people, we knew that Ordnance would be a great fit in the GDI family.”
With growing awareness and demand for Ordnance beers the team decided it is time for the brewery to have a home in the Willamette Valley. Converting the sibling company, Neighbor Dudes’ Wilsonville, Oregon taproom into Ordnance Brewing Taproom was the logical move. “This brings us full circle, back to our roots and to where our cousins continue to grow a variety of crops including hops,” added Managing Partner, Craig Coleman. The Wilsonville location is central to the Valley and just a few miles away from where the Coleman family homesteaded back in the 1850s.
