Mar 2 2012 --- Novozymes has developed a new solution to ensure higher yield and faster, more efficient, fermentation when distilling.
With the price of raw materials ever rising, Novozymes Sanferm Yield can effectively secure more high-quality alcohol, which translates directly to higher profit margins. The solution works effectively with a wide variety of grain-based raw materials, demonstrating excellent results when used with wheat, corn, rye, triticale, and rice. This efficiency can be achieved without altering the existing process.
“Sanferm Yield offers 2-3% higher alcohol yield. Through ensuring healthier fermentation, it brings about an increased profit margin,” says Elmar Janser, global marketing manager for distilling, juice, and wine at Novozymes, “It’s also an extremely flexible solution, which means you optimize your fermentation without altering your existing process.”
Through maximizing the use of the raw materials involved in the fermentation process, Sanferm Yield enables a more productive distilling plant. This brings new sustainability to the distilling industry.
