Nonni's Food Company acquires Mamma Says Biscotti

24/10/05 Nonni's Food Company, Inc. announces the acquisition of Mamma Says Biscotti - the original Italian fortune cookie from Mamma Sez, Inc. The Nonni's acquisition includes the Mamma Says Biscotti business, a strategically located production facility in Ferndale, N.Y., and brings increased capacity to support continued dynamic growth of the biscotti segment and Nonni's Brand (+24% - Nielsen 13 weeks 9/10/05).
The recently remodeled Mamma Says manufacturing facility provides state-of-the-art packaging capability and a strategic location in the northeast part of the US close to many key customers, and additionally provides a secondary manufacturing location for Nonni's Biscotti. The local community will benefit as Nonni's plans to significantly increase production and employment over the next 6-9 months and begin sourcing materials and transportation from local suppliers.
Mamma Says products are sold primarily through club, food service, department stores and specialty outlets. World Gourmet Marketing LLC will continue to market and distribute Soy Crisps and the Sensible Portion line of healthy snacks.
