Nedalco Acquires Remaining 50% Shares of Brüggemann Alcohol

14/01/09 Royal Nedalco will acquire the remaining 50% shares of BrüggemannAlcohol. This has been decided in good understanding with its joint venture partner BrüggemannChemical in Heilbronn, Germany. The share transfer is scheduled to take place on 1st July 2009.
The share transaction/acquisition fits well with Nedalco’s strategy to further strengthen its position in North-Western Europe. With an annual sales volume of over 600.000 hl per year BrüggemannAlcohol has built a leading position in the German ethanol market over the past years. Nedalco sees healthy opportunities for further development of its position in the German market.
BrüggemannAlcohol is a highly regarded ethanol producer focusing on premium quality markets With more than 20 people it develops innovative products and solutions for all key industries. It produces, refines and sells non-denatured and denatured agricultural alcohol as well as synthetic ethanol for a wide range of applications e.g. beverages, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, fuels and chemicals. The Dutch subsidiary BrüggemannAlcohol Nederland represents the activities in the disinfections market in the Benelux.
Nedalco is interested to continue the facilities of BrüggemannAlcohol on the present site in Heilbronn, which will be discussed with current joint venture partner BrüggemannChemical in due course.
