Multivac Expands Traysealer Range
The T 100 from Multivac addresses the special requirements from supermarkets and butchers as well as snacks and catering companies who frequently want to pack meat, sausage or ready-made meals in very small batches.
4/7/2011 --- Multivac expands its traysealer range with several product innovations the manufacturer is presenting for the first time at interpack 2011 in Düsseldorf. Multivac offers additional attractive solutions for packing in trays in semi-automatic systems for small processors, as well as automated systems for industrial processors.
The new T 100 model is the smallest in its output class and designed for semi-automatic packaging of very small batches. As a so-called table traysealer, the T 100 can be placed on a table or a sales counter. The start-up model completes the range of semi-automatic traysealers from Multivac, consisting of the T 200, T 250 and T 260 models up to now.
The T 100 follows the drawer principle with the infeeding of trays. It only needs a power supply to operate, no cooling water or compressed air are necessary. Despite its compact design, the T 100 has a vacuum and gas supply system and can be used for MAP packing production in Multivac quality.
The T 100 from Multivac addresses the special requirements from supermarkets and butchers as well as snacks and catering companies who frequently want to pack meat, sausage or ready-made meals in very small batches. The compact model can be equipped with many standard sized dies and creates packaging quality using a contour cut which corresponds to an automatic traysealer. It also manufactures trays with tearable corners.
The user-friendly display with a limited number of keys makes it easy and intuitive to operate even for inexperienced personnel. Changing the dies is also very easy, as locking and unlocking is all done at the touch of a button.
Optimum solution for small and medium-size batches
The T 300 extends the Multivac range of automatic traysealers to the existing T 700 and T 800 models, with a model in the lower output class. The T 300 seals roughly 20 packs a minute. The trays are fed automatically. Its outstanding price-performance ratio, its easy to understand operating principle and simple operation facilitate getting started in automatic packaging with trays.
The T 300 consumes less energy with the use of electric lifting units. Compressed air is only required for the sealing procedure. Changing the format is very easy as it is supported by the software and tools are not needed. A change trolley is not required and changing the upper web is also very simple.
Two-lane traysealer with high capacity
The second product innovation for the automatic traysealer is the T 850 - a high-output model and the first two-lane traysealer from Multivac. The T 850 seals roughly 80 to 100 trays per minute, which makes it ideal for production plants with high capacity and is usually integrated into automatic packaging lines. The main area of application is packing food products such as meat, sausage or convenience products. However, the T 850 is suitable for cheese and fish products, as well as fruit and vegetables.
The operating principle of the T 850 is based on the one-lane T 800. However, the new model can produce standard as well as special packaging, such as various skin packs. To facilitate the die change, Multivac provides a die change trolley and a shelving system for storing the dies. A pre-heating unit for pre-heating the dies outside the machine is also included.
Hygienic design and user friendly
All three new models are made of high-grade stainless steel and adhere to the groundbreaking hygienic design from Multivac. Thanks to their reduced consumption of energy and packaging material, they contribute to sustainable economic practice.
Their simple design and easy to understand operation make the new models very user friendly. The T 300 and the T 850 are fitted with the intuitive HMI 2.0 user interface, which enables production parameters to be easily made, even by inexperienced personnel.
Expanded areas of application
At interpack 2011, Multivac will also display the new T 260, a semi-automatic traysealer, which was specially designed for the medical devices industry. Multivac has expanded its range not only in the various output classes but also for different areas of application.
