At the Salt Reduction Europe 2011 conference in London, 16 – 17 February 2011, K+S Kali GmbH will introduce its new brand for the first time.

With KaliSel, K+S Kali GmbH offers an outstanding, yet cost-effective solution for salt substitution in food.  The reason: The two vitally important minerals KCl and NaCl are, from a chemical point of view, closely related. Beyond that, KaliSel provides the body with necessary potassium, which is essential for many metabolic processes.

Sodium chloride, commonly known as salt, is a vital nutrient, and is essential for many important bodily functions. However, The World Health Organisation (WHO) considers the average salt consumption in the western world to be much too high.

The pressure on food producers to reduce the salt content of their products has therefore increased considerably. All over the world scientists are involved in the search for alternatives, in order to at least partially replace NaCl in food, without compromising product qualities.

K+S Kali GmbH – a K+S Group Company – is your worldwide partner for potassium and magnesium products, for use in a wide range of food and pharmaceutical applications.
