Kraft Boss Asks Employees to Embrace Change Ahead of Merger
26 May 2015 --- John Cahill, chairman and CEO of Kraft Foods, has urged his employees to embrace the changes ahead, as the company continues its merger with fellow US food giant HJ Heinz.
In an email sent to employees, filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Cahill said some of the best and most rewarding times in his career have been times of change. He said the process will continue to be a learning opportunity for all employees - himself included.
"I fully recognize that is not easy, but I encourage you to embrace this as a once-in-a-career development opportunity in managing through change and exercising learning agility," Cahill writes in the email, dated May 18. "I know from experience embracing these opportunities will make you stronger in the end."

Over the past few weeks, Cahill said he has met with members of every function and division leadership team in addition to holding a series of roundtables with employees across the organization to "have candid conversations about both the uncertainties and opportunities that lie ahead."
