It's Always a Good Time for a Resolution! Unibroue Introduces a New Spicy Beer with a Truly Festive Character to the US market
14 Oct 2015 --- Unibroue announces the introduction of a limited edition beer: La Résolution, a strong spiced ale that's sure to make its mark in the United States.
La Résolution is a special brew, available for a limited time only. This high end dark ale was inspired by a recipe brewmaster Jerry Vietz concocted for his friends. "I wanted to offer my guests a spicy ale with fine bubbles, a rich, persistent head and a full, flavourful taste experience," says Vietz. At 10% alcohol, its spicy caramel aroma evolves on the palate into pleasant and complex notes of toffee with reminiscence of a tasty gingerbread. Its perfect balance between spicy, caramel and roasted malt flavours is complemented by a nice roundness and persistent finish.
La Résolution will no doubt be the perfect addition to the Holiday season. "La Résolution is the perfect match for spicy dishes, says Sylvain Bouchard, Unibroue's beer sommelier. It's an excellent complement for cheese fondue, not only as a pairing, but also to adjust the consistency of the cheese mixture. Its festive character makes it the ideal beer to accompany gingerbread or carrot cake."
La Résolution will be available across the United States as of mid-October, for a limited time and while quantities last, in 750 mL cork and cage bottles and on tap. It will also be available in 12 oz bottles as part of a special 6 bottle mix pack called the "Sommelier Selection" which will also be available for a limited time only. The suggested retail price will be $12,99 for a 750 ml bottle and $14,99 for a Sommelier Selection 6 pack.
World Beer Awards
At its first participation at the World Beer Awards in London UK, La Résolution was recently awarded the title of The America's Best Belgian Style Strong Dark Beer (including Quadrupels). All the more reason not to wait for the New Year to decide on a resolution!
