Ingredion Announces Sonntag as Vice President and General Manager, EMEA

10 Mar 2014 --- The Ingredion group of companies in Europe has announced the appointment of Martin Sonntag to the role of vice president and general manager, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Working closely with international teams across the region, Sonntag’s core responsibility will be the strategic management and growth of the Ingredion business in EMEA.

With over 23 years of experience in international business, Sonntag has extensive expertise in operations, technology and finance, in addition to proven strategic business development skills. Sonntag has successfully led large organisations through transformational periods and has experience of entering rapidly developing economies. He joins Ingredion from the private equity sector where he served as executive investment partner and portfolio manager. Sonntag also previously held a number of positions at Dow Chemical Company including global business director, Liquid Epoxy Resins & Intermediates; and most recently, general manager, Dow Wolff Cellulosics.
