FrieslandCampina Chief Operating Officer Kapil Garg Dies

17 Jan 2013 ---- Kapil Garg joined subsidiary Frisian Flag Indonesia in 2001. He subsequently fulfilled various roles at senior management level, among them Managing Director of FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria. In 2010 he was appointed COO of Royal FrieslandCampina, becoming the company’s first non-Dutch Executive Board member. 

 

“Kapil Garg was a highly respected individual, both within FrieslandCampina and beyond. His immense contribution to the company, personal commitment to his colleagues, sense of humour and dedication will all be warmly remembered,” a statement from the company read.

 

“Despite his illness during the past year, Kapil Garg remained fully active and involved with decision-making within the organisation up to the final weeks before his death. His personality, inspirational leadership and dedication will be sorely missed by us all,” the statement added.
