17 Feb 2010 --- Firmenich, the world’s largest privately-owned company in the fragrance and flavor business, has opened a new affiliate in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The affiliate aims to strengthen Firmenich’s presence in the Gulf Region, enabling it to deepen its understanding of local consumers and markets, and to bring the region’s manufacturers, as well as multinational companies, its talent for creating unique fragrances and flavors adapted to local tastes.

Firmenich Dubai includes a team dedicated to Fine Fragrance sales, marketing and development for the Gulf Region. Similarly, Firmenich Flavors has a dedicated group that will focus on Flavor solutions for Sweet Goods, Beverages and Savory Food applications, tapping into worldwide marketing, sensory and technical teams to offer the highest level of expertise in applications like Juices and Dairy products, as well as Flavor solutions in areas like Citrus, Natural Ingredients and Taste Modulation.
The 500m2 of new office and laboratory facilities are located in the prestigious Dubai Biotechnology & Research Park (DuBiotech) - one of the Middle East’s major science and business parks. Like all Firmenich facilities, the center has
been developed with the highest industry standards in terms of product quality, safety, regulatory and sustainable business processes and practices.
Firmenich has Flavor and Fine Fragrance development centers and sales offices throughout Europe, Asia, Latin America and North America.
