Denali Moose Tracks Ice Cream Announces Partnership with Bass Pro Jon Bondy
The partnership marks Denali Flavors' first entree into the professional sports sponsorship arena, and it comes at a time when the bass fishing industry is beginning to emerge as a top sport.
16/01/07 Denali Flavors, Inc., one of the nation's leading inventors and marketers of premium flavors for the ice cream industry, announces that it will sponsor up-and-coming Bassmaster Elite Series angler, Jon Bondy, in his quest to qualify for the 2008 Bassmaster Classic world championship. As title sponsor of the angler, Denali will wrap Bondy's competition boat with an image of its signature Moose Tracks logo and its well known moose character. Terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
The partnership marks Denali Flavors' first entree into the professional sports sponsorship arena, and it comes at a time when the bass fishing industry is beginning to emerge as a top sport. There are more than 34 million anglers in the U.S. alone, and bass fishing is considered the clear choice among the fishing set. Sports Illustrated has declared the sport as, "the next NASCAR." ESPN Outdoors will provide televised coverage of the 2007 Bassmaster Elite Series which begins on March 8, on Lake Amistad in Del Rio, TX.
"Denali Flavors/Moose Tracks is proud to support Jon in his quest for this year's trophy, and we look forward to increased brand awareness through this partnership," says Denali founder Wally Blume, an avid bass angler and Bassmaster member in his own right. "Just as this group of 100 anglers is recognized as the best in the world, Moose Tracks Ice Cream is recognized as a leader in the ice cream industry."
Bondy is the only Canadian competing on the Bassmaster Elite series, a role he played last year while placing ahead of the pack in several events. He has even higher standards set for his second year on the pro circuit. "I'm grateful to Denali Moose Tracks for coming together with my long-time sponsors to support my quest for success at the highest level of this sport," he said. "I am confident that this year's results will be even better than last for the Bondy team." To date, Bondy has more than $117,000 in winnings.
Bondy will continue his relationships with long-time sponsors including Champion Boats, Mercury Outboards, Motorguide trolling motors, All Star Rods, Shakespeare line, and Pflueger reels.
