By conducting this sensory tour, Jan Boeg Hansen is hoping to get in more direct contact with people from the industry. Normally at ingredient exhibitions, he explains, you will only see the head of purchasing or the head of the laboratory visiting. This concept provides Chr. Hansen with the opportunity to meet the marketing teams and others at the company.
According to Hansen, the main focus of the food industry has shifted from product development to concept development. “New and innovative solutions are essential in order to stand out from one’s competitors”, he believes.
