Carrefour Restructures Domestic Operations

01 Apr 2013 --- Carrefour France is implementing a new structure, scheduled to be adopted between now and May 2013.

Under the responsibility of Noël Prioux, Executive Director of Carrefour France:
- Hypermarkets have been entrusted to Eric Bourgeois. They will be managed across four geographic areas: Ile-de-France, West, South East and North, Sylvain Ferry, Philippe Lartigue, Patrice Lespagnol and Pierre Bertholat will be responsible for each of these areas, respectively.
- Supermarkets have been entrusted to Alain Rabec, who was previously director of business development and structure for Supermarkets.
- Gérard Dorey is still in charge of Convenience & Cash and Carry stores.

Three new departments are being created:
- The Merchandise, Supply Chain and Systems department will be the responsibility of Patrice Zygband. This department will include all the central buying offices, logistics, information systems, structure and methods, quality and sustainable development, pricing & supplier studies and markets.
- The Banking, Services and Projects Department will be the responsibility of Gauthier Durand Delbecque. This will bring together the Group's Banking and Insurance business, as well as Carrefour Travel, Carrefour Shows, its vehicle rental service, its service station network, its gift cards and Carrefour Customer Service.
- The Technical Department will be the responsibility of Laurent Bataille, tasked with supporting the modernisation of the Group's stores.
