22/01/09 Cafosa has obtained the ISO 14.001 standard, accredited by Rva DNV (Det Norske Veritas – The Netherlands).
The ISO 14.001 is a non-obligatory certification that is focused on the strict fulfilment of the European Environment Legislations. The ISO 14.001 not only certifies that a company has defined Environmental objectives but also has a system to comply with these objectives. It means, for example, that we have a responsible and reasonable consumption of water, general supplies and raw materials. The standard also endeavours that we produce as less residues as possible, trying to prevent any possible contamination.
By obtaining the ISO 14.001 Cafosa assures to have established, documented, implemented, maintained and improved an environmental system in order to apply the standards of the certification.
The fact that Cafosa voluntarily submits to the requirements needed for the ISO 14.001 is a proof of its aim to apply maximum standards to all areas we are implied in: Prevention, Quality, Food Safety, Innovation and the Environment. Cafosa said they are convinced that all the company’s activities should point towards sustainability in order to express our commitment to the society and the environment.
With the ISO 14.001, Cafosa enlarges its list of already obtained certifications: ISO 9001, ISO 22.000 and UNE 166.000.
