27/02/09 Big Red, Inc. began running their first two ounce bottle co-packing production in February for retailers in the Midwest. The cold-fill packing line is designed to run in excess of 100 bottles per minute with expansion planned for over 200 bottles per minute capability.
The new line offers flexibility from a one ounce container to half gallon jugs, and includes an in-line filler, an eight spindle capper, ionized air rinser, sleever, ink jet coder and shrink tunnel. Additional contracts with other beverage companies and retailers are expected to be announced in the near future.
