Beringer Vineyards Launches California Chardonnay
The grapes for the Beringer California Collection Chardonnay are harvested from premium vineyards throughout California. Bursting with fruit flavors of ripe apple and stone fruits, the wine will appeal to a wide audience of Chardonnay lovers.
20/12/07 In a bold move to take the Chardonnay category by storm, Beringer Vineyards launched its vintage 2006 California Collection Chardonnay in time for the holiday season. Priced at $6 suggested retail, it is a fruit-forward, easy-drinking wine that will be a part of the California Collection tier, which includes America's #1 top-selling White Zinfandel, domestic Pinot Grigio, White Merlot, and Chenin Blanc.
This addition will offer both consumers and trade a trusted name in premium Chardonnay. "We are confident that the Beringer legacy of quality and innovation continues with this launch, and we expect the Beringer California Collection Chardonnay to be one of our best sellers this year," said Jim Smith, President of Republic National Distributing Company in Colorado -- Beringer's wholesaler in the state.
"Beringer's California Collection of wines offers the ideal combination of delicious flavors and great value, and the Chardonnay will follow in that tradition," stated Barry Sheridan, VP of Marketing for Beringer Vineyards. "We're determined to make this wine easy to find at grocery and convenience stores," he continued. "Consumers, who are constantly faced with an overwhelming number of choices in the wine aisle, will find the Beringer California Collection Chardonnay right next to their favorite Beringer White Zinfandel, White Merlot, Pinot Grigio and Chenin Blanc."
