Aryzta to Acquire La Rousse Foods
28 Jul 2015 --- Aryzta, the Swiss based speciality baker, is to acquire the premium foodservice company, La Rousse Foods, the latest acquisition in its spending spree.
The deal, for an undisclosed sum, will be completed after approval is received from the Competition and Consumer Protection Authority.
With more than 1,300 customers in Ireland, La Rousse currently works with 168 local suppliers. Aryzta said the takeover will be supported by further investment, with the aim of positioning the combined operation as the country’s number one premium food provider.
Earlier this year Aryzta acquired a 49% stake in the French company Picard, which specializes in high-end frozen food.
