05/06/07 Aromatech has received the “Prix de la performance Les Echos”, a prize rewarding the most successful firms in terms of growth, turnover, export and profitability.
Created in 1987, Aromatech Group celebrates it’s 20 years by opening it’s American subsidiary in Orlando, Florida, and by launching expansion projects of it’s European industrial premises (South of France). Specialised in tailor made food flavours, Aromatech Group designs, manufactures and markets products dedicated to the agro-food industry: alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages, dairy products, confectionery, health products, biscuit/pastry, savoury products… It’s food flavours are available in various forms (liquid, powder by simple blend, encapsulation by spray-drying and granule) and across all types of legislation (artificial, nature identical, natural and organic).
Aromatech is the first French company to propose a complete range of organic certified flavours, with more than 400 references, which represents about 7% of its turnover.
Half of Aromatech Group’s turnover is realised by export. The company continues it’s international development with the opening of the American subsidiary, following Tunisia (1992), Turkey (1999), Algeria (2002), China and Thailand (2003). The Group registered a 12% growth in 2006 and a 15% growth in the first half of 2007.
The progression of Aromatech Group was greeted by this prize, in the development category.
Launched in 2001 by the newspaper Les Echos, the leading French daily paper of financial and economic information, and the Corporate Card partners (Air France, American Express and Accor), the “Prix de la Performance” rewards, in different French regions, the firms which achieved, in the last 3 years, a professional course without fault and with an outstanding growth.
The pre-selection of 505 firms in the Alpes Maritimes department was made by crossing 4 essential criteria:
-Turnover (which must be between 5 & 150 million euros)
-Export activity
-Operation profit
-Workforce progress
The prize-giving took place on the 9th of May in Cannes (France) in the presence of the organisers and some politics and economic personalities of the Alpes Maritimes. An article appeared in Les Echos of Thursday, May 10th 2007 reminded the exemplary course and the projects of the Group.
