ADM Develops Premium Fillings for Longer Shelf-Life
The new products are suitable for a wide range of applications and combine great taste with the long shelf-life that has previously been difficult to achieve in premium fillings that often have high moisture contents.
Oct 4 2011 --- ADM Cocoa, in collaboration with ADM Oils and Fats, has launched a range of indulgent fillings for the confectionery and bakery industries. The new products are suitable for a wide range of applications and combine great taste with the long shelf-life that has previously been difficult to achieve in premium fillings that often have high moisture contents.
“Combining an indulgent taste with a long shelf-life has raised a number of issues for confectionery manufacturers in the past,” says Simon Godden, New Product Development manager at ADM Cocoa. “We have used our broad technical expertise across product lines to overcome these problems and offer an extensive range of textures and flavours that will help our customers differentiate their products in an increasingly competitive marketplace.”
Available in a variety of flavours and textures, the new fillings can be used to add refinement to products such as pralines, éclairs and filled biscuits. As a result of ADM’s expertise in oils and fats and chocolate confectionery, the fillings combine richness and functionality (such as flexible melting profiles).
The indulgent fillings have been launched in a range of flavours that include strawberry, orange, fresh yoghurt and custard, as well as chocolate and truffle-type. Fillings that are sure to complement the flavours and textures of inclusions such as dried fruit and cereal pieces.
The ADM range of filling solutions is further enhanced by Noblee & Thörl, ADM’s Speciality Fats Division, who can also supply a number of trans-fat free products that are ideally suited to many applications.
