Fenchem Launches Pakistan Guar Gum Globally
02 Jul 2015 --- Hydrocolloids are playing an important role in Fenchem’s food business, while guar gum is a sensitive one especially in recent years. The price of guar gum has experienced sharp rise and decrease from 2012 to 2014. Guar Gum is a natural thickening agent used extensively in the commercial food industry, which is primarily the ground endosperm of guar beans. The guar bean is principally grown in India, Pakistan, US, Australia and Africa.
As the main producing areas, India and Pakistan guar gum accounts for more than 95% share in this market. To keep a healthy supply chain of guar gum and better serve the customers in food industry, Fenchem Pakistan branch has launched local guar gum, and Fenchem Group will distribute the Pakistan guar gum globally based on the offices all over the world. This product will be introduced to China, USA and South Africa markets first, then Fenchem Germany and Fenchem Malaysia will take this product to European market and Southeast Asia market respectively. Also Fenchem R&D is developing product solutions based on guar gum, like meat, ice cream and bakery application, to help the customers make full use of guar gum in their products.
