Glanbia Nutritionals strengthens the science behind its whey-based weight management solution through a new study which is called Prolibra. The independent human clinical trials reveal a statistically significant reduction of up to 37.8 glycaemic index units in the blood after consuming Prolibra – good news for companies looking to launch healthy weight control products with a low GI claim. The glycaemic index (GI) measures how quickly foods release carbohydrates into the body, raising blood glucose levels. Low GI foods provide sustained energy release, promoting a feeling of satiety and delivering health benefits including weight management and reduced risk of diabetes and heart disease. These latest results follow two earlier studies that underpin Glanbia Nutritional’s ongoing commitment to science-based solutions and confirm Prolibra’s strength as an ingredient for sustained weight loss. Nutritional segment drives Glanbia’s robust H1 results

14 Aug 2017 --- A strong performance in Glanbia’s nutritional division was the key growth driver in 2017 half year results which show the group’s revenue has increased by almost 10 percent to €2bn (US$2.4bn). According to the Ireland headquartered group’s interim statement, half year results for the six months ended 1 July 2017 show a good performance driven by Glanbia Nutritionals.

Joint Venture With Glanbia PLC’s Dairy Division Will Establish Glanbia Ireland

23 May 2017 --- Glanbia co-operative society’s shareholders have voted in favor of the proposal to establish a joint venture to be known as Glanbia Ireland and the deal is due to close in early July 2017. The approval came at an extraordinary general meeting that took place in Kilkenny on Monday.

Glanbia Announces Dairy Ireland Sale, Q1 Total Group Revenue Up

26 April 2017 – Global nutrition group Glanbia released its first quarter results, with Total Group Revenue increasing 9.6% on a reported basis and 7.7% on a constant currency basis. The company has also signed binding transaction agreements with Glanbia Co-operative Society for the sale of a controlling stake in the Dairy Ireland segment and related associate businesses. Currently, Dairy Ireland is a wholly owned segment of Glanbia and comprises two business units, Glanbia Consumer Foods Ireland and Glanbia Agribusiness.

Glanbia Nutritionals put the spotlight on protein, gluten free and immune boosting ingredients for a range of applications at HiE 2016. Yves Vantomme of Glanbia Nutritionals believes that the gluten free trend still has legs. “The demand for gluten free products is still rising in Europe. Glanbia is offering a range of gluten free grains to meet that demand. Our muesli contains a fusion of all these grains, including flax, chia, our gluten free oat flakes and some dried fruits as well.”

Glanbia Nutritionals highlighted CardioTABS, a creative formulation which delivers the synergistic effects of their OmniMEGA and MenaQ7 ingredients. The only compressible omega 3 powder on the market, OmniMEGA is claimed to offer excellent stability and shelf life, along with reduced sensitivity to air and oxidation.
