16 Oct 2017 --- As a way to mark World Food Day 2017 (October 16), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is working with governments, UN agencies, the private sector, civil society and local communities, to generate evidence on migration patterns. The agency is also building countries’ capacities to address migration through rural development policies as it supports governments and partners as they explore the developmental potential of migration, especially in terms of food security and poverty reduction.
