Takasago Flavors Appoints Adair and Carey Dunn to Key Sales Positions
25 Apr 2014 --- Brian Buck, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Takasago International Corp. (USA) Flavor Division, announced that Bill Adair has taken on the role of Takasago’s Global Coordinator for the Campbell Soup Company and that Amanda Carey Dunn has been named Takasago Flavors’ Sales and Marketing Manager for the Mint and Sensates Group.
In making the announcement, Mr. Buck said, “We are very pleased that we have added two highly experienced flavor professionals to our sales team. Bill Adair and Amanda Carey Dunn bring exceptional expertise to key areas that we are focused on to ensure Takasago’s ongoing growth.”
As the Global Coordinator of Campbell Soup Company on Takasago’s behalf, Bill Adair will draw on his 27 years of flavor sales experience. He started his career with Ottens Flavors where he spent six years as Mid Atlantic Regional Sales Manager calling on Kellogg’s, Post, Hershey and other key regional accounts. Bill was then hired by Givaudan in 1992. He spent 21 years there, starting as an Account Executive and then moving into the role of Global Coordinator, calling primarily on Campbell’s Soup Company and White Rock Distilleries. Bill realized tremendous success in developing his account base. During the course of his career Bill and his account teams were recognized by winning numerous awards. The awards included being part of a collaborative technical team that was recognized by Campbell’s Soup Company, receiving the Campbell’s Technical Partner Award. (The first time this award was given to an outside entity.)
Bill studied Business Administration at Maryville College and also attended programs in Global Key Account Management at University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business and University of Michigan Ross School of Business Negotiation Training. At Takasago, Mr. Adair reports directly to Brian Buck.
Amanda Carey Dunn brings to Takasago substantial experience in Mint and Oral Care. Amanda began her career at Noville, Inc. where she worked as a Flavor Evaluator and then as a Senior Flavor Technologist. After ten years, she moved to Firmenich to work first as a Marketing/Flavor Development Manager in Oral Care, and then became the Senior Regional Category Manager for Oral Care. In her new role at Takasago, she has been called on to expand and grow Takasago’s North American business in this important market segment. As Sales & Marketing Manager, Amanda’s role will be a new hybrid format covering some direct sales responsibilities as well being involved in sales support functions.
She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Wooster, in Wooster, Ohio. Ms Dunn is based in Rockleigh, New Jersey, joining Takasago’s Sensoral Center team. She reports to Mike Munroe, Vice President, Global Mint & Sensates Group.
