Reckitt Benckiser Group is in a $16.7 billion discussion to takeover Mead Johnson Nutrition Company. The British multinational consumer goods company behind a series of health, hygiene and homes produces and brands, has made a play for infant formula makers Mead Johnson. The acquisition would take the British consumer goods maker into the baby formula market and boost its business outside Europe. Other companies mentioned are Emmi, Glanbia and Nestlé.
