INTERVIEW PODCAST: Ohly Address Authentic and Ethnic Flavors Using Yeast Based Umami Extract

Asian, African or Middle-Eastern flavor and food trends find more and more popularity among US consumers. Ohly is one of the world’s leading suppliers of yeast extracts, yeast based flavors and specialty powders for the food, fermentation, health and animal feed markets globally. At IFT 2017, Ohly presented a new yeast extract called SAV-R-FULL which provides umami and salty taste and highlights the aroma profile of recipes. Ohly is part of the ABF Ingredients group, who focus on high value ingredients for food, pharmaceutical and industrial applications. Robin Wyers spoke to Fabienne Saadane-Oaks, CEO of ABFI at IFT in Las Vegas.
