2 Jun 2010 --- Polifenoles Naturales SL, a leader in the discovery, development and production of patented, standardized fruit and botanical extracts, and P.L. Thomas, a full service provider of science-based ingredient solutions for food, supplements and cosmeceuticals, were delighted to inaugurate their strategic alliance by exhibiting together at the recent Vitafoods Exhibition (Geneva, May 17-19). 

The objective of this close collaboration is to synergistically apply their strategic alliance to identify and bring to the marketplace unique high quality natural ingredient solutions. Polinat has recently established new R&D facilities (including analytical, cell and molecular biology laboratories) and a team of scientists to “mine” the potential of the rich library of botanicals and initial research undertaken by Polinat’s founders, Dr. Zakir Ramazanov PhD and Dr. Miguel Jimenez PhD. Particular emphasis is being devoted to study the effects of Polinat’s new ingredient candidates on gene expression before moving on to additional testing.  Vladimir Badmaev, MD, PhD, has accepted a joint appointment with Polinat and PLT, embodying the very close and open collaboration between the partners.

Polinat’s manufacturing performance has been strengthened with audited cGMP procedures with full traceability and versatile extraction systems using water or ethanol solvents, variable pressures, and the most modern separation technologies.  PLT contributes its 60 years of experience in market-driven business development, with specific expertise in sourcing, sales and marketing of value-added, clinically supported natural ingredients.
