09/12/08 Naturex has announced the achievement of organic certifications for its French manufacturing plant. Organic certifications address a growing worldwide demand for organic products. More and more consumers are purchasing organic food, dietary supplements and cosmetics through traditional trade channels. Naturex French facility complies with the rigorous expectations of the 7 CFR Part 205 - NOP and the E.C. directive 2092/91: 

• The Institute for MarketEcology (IMO) is accredited as official inspection agency by the USDA and has certified Naturex plant's complying with the USDA National Organic Program (N.O.P.). The N.O.P. compliance is required before labeling any product "organic" in the US and provides in particular specific production, handling, and labeling standards for these products.

• The subsidiary of Bureau Veritas accredited for certification according to the European organic production standards has audited and certified Naturex French plant. It implies a complete set of objectives, principles and rigorous rules for manufacture and labeling and allows for the use of the European label "Organic Farming".

These official certifications enable Naturex to produce organic ingredients and to distribute them worldwide through its global sales network. Naturex also plans to progressively extend these certifications to its other plants.
