With world wide wellness awareness the order of the day, combined with the trend towards holistic eating, a stable, sugar-free fruit bar with zero additives and preservatives caters for this demand.

In an effort to produce a diabetic-friendly product and with the world-wide problem of obesity in mind, a process was developed to produce a stable fruit bar free of sugar and preservatives. This innovative product is ideally positioned to take full advantage of South Africa’s status as one of the leading fruit producers worldwide.

This investment allows Afriplex to introduce a number of their novel plant extracts, each with their individual functionality, into the market using a natural product as vehicle. With the focus on “Five a Day” fruit to be included in children’s diets, a range of bars has been launched containing extracts of Baobab, Rooibos, Marula and many more.
