Pomegranates are typically available in the cooler months of September through January, but even the most dedicated consumers find them challenging since peeling and picking the fruited arils takes time and effort. To help suppliers and retailers achieve optimal long-lasting shelf life of peeled pomegranate, Hefestus can also pack the fruit using Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) via a new, patented method of sealing trays called SLB – Shelf Life Booster.
