04/12/08 PAVA has launched the production of exclusive food product, flour naturally enriched with proteins and vitamins. The new flour created keen interest among the prospective customers and generated a lot of feedback, including partners from developing countries.

A remarkable feature of the new product is that all the wholesome qualities, with which nature endowed the grain, remain intact during wheat processing. As a result, the flour becomes a wonderful dietetic product – an effective agent for clearing the body of chemical waste and a medicine for treatment of atherosclerosis, diabetes and obesity. Mineral substances provide the body with trace elements essential for its normal functioning - iron, magnesium, manganese and zinc. Richness in fibre lowers the blood cholesterol level and protects from cancer.

The problem of undernutrition is the sore issue for developing economies, while such products as PAVA new flour can become a perfect solution. Enhanced content of protein (14.5%) allows to satisfy hunger quickly without calorie overload. Plus, the new product may come up as a welcome alternative to convenient, high-calorie food and prevent problem of overweight in higher-income groups.

The protein-enriched vitaminised flour from PAVA is marketed in a moderate price category which strengthens its eligible position in the range of products offered to the developing countries. The company maintains competitive level of cost production, due to upgrade of its milling equipment, whereas in the long term expansion of own agricultural production will contribute to PAVA’s flour cost competitiveness.

Having worked as UN partner for more than 2 years, Russian grain processor has already done its bit in addressing the challenge of the humankind - eliminating hunger and food insecurity. PAVA was the first Russian company to ship flour to the African continent. The company envisages that the new flour will become one of the key products in further export collaboration.
