27 Oct 2017 --- Naturex has expanded its presence in the Italian market with the appointment of Chimab as a distributor. As of 1 November 2017, Chimab will work alongside Naturex to distribute its savory ingredients and selected sweet products to food businesses across Italy. The agreement will enable Naturex, with Chimab’s support, to enhance its service levels in the country and react more quickly to changing customer needs.

Part of the Brenntag Group, Chimab is one of Italy’s leading suppliers of ingredients to the food, beverage and nutrition industry. Chimab operates a highly efficient distribution network and maintains high stock levels to ensure the security of supply on an ongoing basis. As well as providing distribution services, it operates in-house labs for product development and offers full technical support.

Commenting on the new agreement, Naturex EMEA Food Sales VP Hubert Defert says: “This collaboration will bring us closer to the Italian market, enabling us to work with Chimab to service the requirements of food companies faster and more effectively. Chimab is very well established in Italy and has excellent knowledge of its home market, which means it will be the perfect partner as we look to grow our footprint in this important part of Europe.”

Ignazio Vullo, President of Chimab, adds: “Naturex is famous globally for its superb ingredients offer, and we are delighted to be given the opportunity to work together to strengthen its foothold in the Italian food market, which is one of the most exciting in the world. We share Naturex’s core values of quality, innovation and sustainability and look forward to opening up its savory and sweet products to a wider audience.”
