Chr. Hansen appoints Christoffer Lorenzen as member of the Executive Board
29 Jan 2018 --- Chr. Hansen has announced the appointment Christoffer Lorenzen as a member of the Executive Board. Lorenzen is Executive Vice President (EVP) of Chr. Hansen’s largest business unit, Food Cultures & Enzymes.
Prior to joining Chr. Hansen, Lorenzen was employed at H. Lundbeck A/S, a global specialty pharmaceutical company, where he served as Head of Corporate Strategy and M&A as well as Corporate Secretary.
Lorenzen also holds a Master of Business (Marketing) 2002 from the Copenhagen Business School.
“The appointment of Christoffer Lorenzen to the Executive Board of Chr. Hansen had been planned already before the announcement of Cees de Jong stepping back, as FC&E has normally always been represented at the Executive Board,” says Ole Andersen Chairman of Chr. Hansen.
CEO Cees de Jong adds: “Christoffer has been with Chr. Hansen for the past 10 years and has a deep knowledge and understanding of the company, its history and its potential. By joining, Christoffer adds core knowledge and expertise to the Executive Board.”
As of 1 February 2018, the Executive Board consists of CEO Cees de Jong, CFO Søren Westh Lonning, CSO Thomas Schäfer, and EVP Christoffer Lorenzen. The Executive Board is appointed by the Board of Directors and is, together with their colleagues in the Corporate Leadership Team, responsible for day-to-day management and compliance with the guidelines and directions given by the Board of Directors.
